Come on guys! Why are you so brainwashed!?
I was recommended a video in a series on Secret History by Predictive History on YouTube which seemed like it would cover some very interesting topics so I started watching the first video:

But wow, that guy's crazy. I mean, some of the stuff he says is true, and I suppose that's how he's able to provoke some interesting thoughts but.. he is completely unable to present any kind of proof, logical or empirical, for his wild conclusions. Some students raise perfectly legitimate criticism but he shoots them down by calling them brainwashed!
In the beginning of the video he claims to not teach what to think, but instead how to think. And then he proceeds to mostly just tell the students to believe what he says because they're brainwashed. The entire lecture is an argument from authority, which is kind of opposite of critical thinking.
He's also a terrible teacher. He keeps asking questions about things he hasn't taught yet, which do NOT follow logically from his previous "instruction", but he asks as if the students are supposed to know the answer, with body language and tone of voice screaming "WHY are you so stupid?!". And every time a student answers he essentially goes "NOO! You are still brainwashed! You need to stop being brainwashed!".
In the first part, he talks about how much power central banks have (and had in history) because they make the money, and can lend out more money (receipt for gold) than they actually have. This is a great point about inequality, but for some reason he seems to think that because infinite money could be printed, then there must be a conspiracy to keep people poor so that they'll work hard.
When some students mention that money is only a medium of exchange and that real resources are in fact scarce, he calls them brainwashed, because there's plenty of food that gets thrown away - so there can't be scarcity.
The video continues with other examples, and it's actually kind of sad how he keeps getting close to some really meaningful revelations but then always takes a weird turn and goes off a cliff on a really wild conclusion that make no sense.
